Super popular tourist attractions aren’t particularly up my alley, but Swayambhunath, better known as Monkey Temple, is worth it a visit. A short cab ride away from Thamel, the attraction offers up impressive views of the Kathmandu Valley. It’s not every day you get the opportunity to be in the presence of monkeys that are totally comfortable being in such close proximity with humans!

Thank you! It was a pleasant surprise that the monkeys totally left tourists alone. I haven’t been to Sacred Monkey Temple… Indonesia is atop my list of places I’ve yet to go!
